Best of Buzz - Buzz Worthy March Events

Hosted by the Ugandan American Partnership Organization (UAPO), Pamoja Penda is an arts and music festival to help celebrate the grassroots development work being done across Africa. This movement is actively empowering African citizens and equipping them to lead their own sustainable communities. 100% of the proceeds will benefit UAPO's work in rebuilding war-torn Northern Uganda. We hope you can join us for this incredible event!

Pamoja Penda hopes to connect communities in Atlanta to Africa by bringing family and friends together in the celebration of one love.

Bands will play from 2:00-11:00 p.m. on a solar powered stage courtesy of Tree Sound Studios. The lineup includes: The Pamoja Penda Family Band featuring Christian Haberkern, Paul Hudson, Lauren Moses, Members of Followed by Static and more, followed by Matthew Mayfield, Micah Dalton, Junior League, the Futurebirds and ultimately Yacht Rock for the finale.

You will have the chance to view a screening for Lose the Shoes a film about Grassroot Soccer, as well as the documentary Mothers of a Nation produced by Clear Films Studio. Please bring new or lightly used CD's and/or books to the Festival to be donated to the Songs for Kids Foundation and local literacy programs. Also join us for our Lose the Shoes soccer tournament hosted by Grassroot Soccer. See the Event Info page for more details.
